Eastward bound
We traveled across the state of Wyoming, our most interesting and only stop was at the Devils Tower. It was the first National monument declared by Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. It stands 867’ tall. It was popularized by the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Today 4-5,000 rock climbers ascend this monument each year. We hiked around the base.
